Moore plans official visit to Louisville

It‘s going to be a Big East recruiting-war for J.J. Moore. The 2010 forward is getting hit hard by league schools, including Louisville. The Cardinals plan to check in on Moore next month and the Cardinals are expecting an official visit in October.

J.J. Moore is a prime 2010 recruiting target for several Big East schools, including Louisville, heading into the fall.

Moore, one of the stars of the Reebok Camp in July, will receive a visit from Louisville coach Rick Pitino in September and the athletic 6'6, 185-pound guard/forward is tentatively scheduled to make an official visit to Louisville in October.

"Louisville and Marquette will be visiting in September," Moore's mother, Monique Ballard, said. "Jay will not be there because he is attending South Kent which starts on September 9. But myself and family, Hunt Bresky (mentor) and possibly Gary Charles (NY Panthers coach) will be there."

It looks like there's going to be a Big East recruiting war to land Moore's signature during the November signing period. Besides Louisville and Marquette, Pittsburgh, Uconn, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall and St. John's are also involved in Moore's recruitment. Moore recently made unofficial visits to Pittsburgh and Providence and attended camps at Rutgers and St. John‘s this summer.

"We have a date of October 2 (for the Louisville visit) but it has not been finalized yet," Ballard said. "We are still putting things together."
