He becomes the sixth player from the Tallahassee area that has committed to Louisville, joining four from Lincoln High School and one from Rickards High School.
"I liked it a lot," explained Barlowe of his visit to the U of L campus. "I had a lot of fun. I liked the facilities, the weight room and the school. I enjoyed the [basketball] game. It was good to see how they have the fans behind them."
Barlowe, who has graded out at 89%, was impressed by new U of L offensive line coach Mike Summers.
"Coach Summers is going to be a great coach for me," said Barlowe. "He's the kind of coach that helps you learn. He doesn't cram it all down your throat, but instead works with you as you learn it."
Barlowe was being recruited by a number of Division I-AA programs and recently cancelled a trip to Vanderbilt.
