Elite 2011 prospect 'shows up' for a visit

Rick Pitino's big recruiting weekend just got a little bigger. Louisville's top 2011 point guard prospect is on campus for an unofficial visit.

Marquis Teague told InsideTheVille.com on Wednesday that he wouldn't be making any visits this weekend. But Scout.com's Evan Daniels has confirmed that the elite 2011 guard is on the Louisville campus Saturday making an unofficial visit.

Teague is part of an impressive group of visitors for the Cardinals this weekend, who are also hosting 2010 forward Rod Odom and 2011 prospects Wayne Blackshear, Mike Shaw, Zach Price and Macari Brooks.

Louisville has long been rumored the favorite for Teague, Scout.com's No. 5 prospect. Pitino recently hired Teague's former high school assistant coach, Shabaka Lands, furthering speculation that the Indianapolis standout will choose the Cardinals over Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio State, Cincinnati and Wake Forest.

Teague, who recently visited Kentucky, told the Indianapolis Star Saturday that North Carolina is trying to get him on campus for a visit this fall. Teague told the newspaper that he has a visit scheduled to Cincinnati for September 26 and hopes to visit Indiana and Ohio State. He also said he would like to visit Kentucky again before making a decision.

Stay tuned to InsideTheVille.com for the latest on Marquis Teague's visit to Louisville.
