ITV takes a brief look at some of the football prospects expected to be visiting the U of L campus this weekend.

The following is a brief look at some of the prospects visiting the football program this weekend. ITV will update as additional information becomes available. ITV will also continue to bring the first news from the players as they return home from their visit.

Eric Brock
6'1, 180
Eric is one of three players visiting from Benjamin Russell High School (Alexander City, AL). One of the top DB's in Alabama. Brock has the ability to play corner or wide receiver, but with his size, he looks to be a free safety. Had 8 INT's as a junior, and finished with 84 tackles, 6 INT's, and 4 blocked punts as a senior. He has received offers from LSU and Auburn.

Alonzo Barrett
6'2, 215
Barrett, an All-Metro and All-County selection, recorded over 90 total tackles, including 12 sacks in his final season at Thomas Jefferson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. He has visited Troy State and will take an official visit to Colorado on January 31.

WR Armand Cauthen
6'1, 195
Armand of Douglas County High School in Georgia is a super receiver prospect who had 33 catches for 592 yards and 9 touchdowns this past season. He also averaged 32 yards per kickoff return. He has all ready visited Ohio and East Carolina.

DE Marquies Gunn
6'3, 205
Another member of the Benjamin Russell trio. He recorded 22 sacks as a senior. Has great speed for an athlete his size, being clocked at 4.6 in the forty. TheInsiders.com ranks Gunn as the 94th top defensive end in the nation. He has all ready made official visits to Arkansas and Auburn.

OL Ryan Holifield
6'6, 270
Ryan Holifield is a good looking offensive tackle prospect that is at Fork Union Military Academy. He is fully healthy now after having back surgery in April of 2001. Holifield, who is ranked as the nation's #86 OL by TheInsiders.com, is an extremely quick and agile lineman who was timed during summer camps at 4.98 for forty yards on the track and 5.2 flat on grass. At Fork Union Military Academy this past season, Holifield averaged 5-6 pancake blocks per game and did not allow a sack the entire season. Ryan, who is fully qualified, is also receiving interest from North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio and Maryland. ITV believes that Holifield is a Louisville lean.

WR Jonathan Russell
6'3, 190
Also from Benjamin Russell High School, Jonathon is a big receiver with a great frame. Very productive as a senior with over 1,000 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. He is garnering interest from South Carolina, Arkansas and a number of smaller schools. ITV believes that Russell is a Louisville lean.

S Jimmy Wright
5'8, 170
Wright is one of the many verbal commitments to Louisville that ITV had exclusive coverage of. Wright recorded 32 tackles, 6 interceptions and 2 blocked punts as a senior. 1st team All Space Coast and 3rd team 4A All-State.
