Pitino checks in on Moore

Rick Pitino hit the road over the weekend to make important in-home visits with a couple of Louisville's top 2010 prospects. Saturday, Pitino met with five-star forward Tobias Harris. He also checked in with J.J. Moore.

Tobias Harris wasn't the only 2010 prospect Rick Pitino checked in on over the weekend. Besides visiting with Harris, a 6'8, 220-pound five-star forward, Pitino also made a point to meet with J.J. Moore's representatives.

Moore's mother, Monique Ballard, along with his mentor Hunt Bresky and AAU coach Gary Charles have hosted a bunch of college coaches for in-home visits on Moore's behalf recently. Though Moore hasn't been able to attend the in-home's because he's away at South Kent (CT) Prep, Pittsburgh's Jamie Dixon, Providence coach Keno Davis, Louisville's Rick Pitino, Marquette's Buzz Williams and Florida's Billy Donovan's have dropped in to make their recruiting pitches.

"There's been a lot of home visits but I haven't been there because I'm at prep school right now," Moore said. "Monday the coaches will come to look at us scrimmage each other."

Moore said that the coaches from Florida, Oklahoma, Providence, St. John's, Louisville and Marquette will be at South Kent gym on Monday to watch him.

As for Louisville, the Cardinals appear under strong consideration. "They are still high on the list," Moore said.

Moore is scheduled to visit Louisville Oct. 2. He has visited Providence, St. John's, Marquette and Pittsburgh. He said he might also visit Florida before making a decision.
