Harris narrows list to seven programs

Tobias Harris narrowed his list of schools on Friday. One of the nation's top prospects is down to seven and is planning his official visits.

And then there were seven for Tobias Harris.

"Narrowing a list of 11 storied basketball programs would be no easy task for anyone, let alone I am a 17 year old high school senior," Harris, a 6-foot-8 power forward, told Scout.com.

"Concluding home visits with each of the head coaches I have selected seven schools which I hope to make my final decision from," he added.

Late Friday evening Harris narrowed his list of schools to Maryland, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky and Syracuse.

"I would like to visit these schools and weigh my options before making the ever so serious decision of selecting a college," Harris said. "My family and I will work together to help make the best decision."

"I'm not trying to drag this out but my last visit will probably be around November 15th or 16th so after that I will choose what I want to do before my season."

This coming weekend Harris will visit Syracuse. He also has official visits planned for Kentucky and Louisville.

Harris is ranked No. 9 overall and is the No. 2 power forward on Scout.com.
