Patterson takes in Louisville win

Tim Patterson, a three-star defensive end from Louisville (KY) Central, doesn't seem in a rush to make a decision on the recruiting front. Patterson made an unofficial visit to Louisville last weekend and is keeping tabs on the Cardinals.

Louisville has already received one commitment from a Central HS standout for their 2010 recruiting class. The Cardinals definitely would like to land one more.

Stephan Robinson, a three-star wide receiver, made an official visit to UofL last weekend and committed to the Cardinals. Now, Louisville hopes to get a commitment from Robinson's teammate, three-star defensive lineman Timothy Patterson. Patterson also made a visit to Louisville last weekend for the Cardinals homecoming game against Southern Miss – a 25-23 victory for the hometown team.

"It wasn't an official visit I just went to watch the game," Patterson said. "It was a pretty good game."

Patterson said he spoke with the Louisville coaching staff while on campus. "They just talked about academics and keeping grades up," said Patterson.

Patterson said he doesn't have any visits set up right now. He made an unofficial visit to Kentucky a few weeks ago. Louisville and Kentucky have both offered scholarships to Patterson. For now, Patterson hopes to lead Central HS on another strong run this season. The Yellowjackets have won two consecutive state championships.

""We're 2-4 and just now starting into our district play," he said. "I'm doing pretty good."

Asked if Robinson's commitment to Louisville would influence his decision, Patterson said, "That was the best decision for him."
