"I've decided to attend the University of Louisville, I'm going to be a Cardinal," said Holifield. "The coaches are great, I really like the players and the style of offense that they will be running."
Ryan told ITV that he and his family kept his decision pretty quiet. "Nobody really knew what I was going to do, we kept it pretty tight-lipped."
Ranked as the nation's #86 offensive lineman by TheInsiders.com, Ryan is an extremely quick and agile lineman who was timed during summer camps at 4.98 for forty yards on the track and 5.2 flat on grass.
While Ryan drew interest from quite a number of schools, being a Cardinal was what he was hoping to become.
"I heard from a lot of SEC schools, MAC schools...just about everyone east of the Mississippi," explained Ryan. "It was Louisville pretty much all the way. That's where I wanted to go."
As a senior at FUMA, Ryan averaged 5-6 pancake blocks per game and did not allow a sack the entire season.
Ryan, an excellent student, has drawn strong praise from his teachers and coaches at FUMA. Ryan is fully qualified and scored a 24 on the ACT and an 1150 on the SAT.
