All-State DB is latest commitment

The latest commitment to the new coaching staff at U of L is Florida All-State selection Brandon Sharp.

Brandon Sharp (5'11, 185) who led Bolles High School in Jacksonville with 9 interceptions, helped guide his team to the Florida 2A State Crown in 2002. For his efforts he was named first team 2A All-State.

"He was an excellent player for us the past few years, but he really stepped it up this year," said Bolles head coach Corky Rogers. "He was instrumental for us during our state title run."

His coach continued to give his former player praise. "I didn't see anyone that could compare to him all year long. No one I saw had as good coverage skills and run support as well as him."

Brandon, who also performs on his school's weight lifing team, also visited Vanderbilt and South Florida, both of who had offered. He also received considerable attention from LSU.
