Florida DB will re-schedule Louisville visit

Jeremi Wilkes, a defensive back from Tampa (FL) Catholic, was scheduled to visit Louisville last weekend. Wilkes had to re-schedule that visit but has two Big East visits set up for the coming weeks.

Jeremi Wilkes was supposed to make an official visit to Louisville last weekend to see the Cardinals play Syracuse but the Scout.com two-star defensive back didn't make it to town and will re-schedule the visit.

"I just had to go out of town this weekend because of a family emergency so I had to change it," Wilkes said. "They offered me and want me to get up there and see the campus. I'm definitely going to go up there for that visit."

Wilkes, 5'9, 165-pounds, said he doesn't know when he'll visit Louisville. While the trip last weekend didn't work out, Wilkes visited Syracuse over the weekend to see the Orange upset Rutgers. He also plans to visit Rutgers in a couple weeks.

"I have Rutgers set up for December 4th," Wilkes said.

Wilkes also plans to visit Troy. Iowa, Florida State and Western Kentucky are trying to secure a final visit from Wilkes.

"Right now I'm in the middle (of the recruiting process), and the options are open,'' Wilkes told the ScarletReport.com. "I'll take my visits to narrow down my list."

Wilkes, who is rated the No. 138 cornerback nationally, plans to make a decision after he completes all of his official visits.
