Harris, Scout.com's No. 2-rated power forward, was expected to sign a national letter of intent with the program of his choice on Wednesday, the last day of the early signing period.
Thursday evening during a 6:00 press conference from the ESPN Zone in New York, Harris will announce the school of his choice on ESPNU.
Harris wrapped up his final visit Monday to Georgia Tech, then made a surprising visit to Tennessee Tuesday night to watch the Volunteers win over North Carolina-Ashville.
A 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward, Harris visited Louisville a few weeks ago. Syracuse has been the rumored favorite but his visit to Tennessee adds intrigue to his announcement.
Harris and his father, Torrel, have closely guarded information about his recruitment. If you're trying to read the tea leaves, how's this: Jayvaughn Pinkston was supposed to sign with Tennessee this week but didn't after Harris' surprise visit Tuesday night. Coincidence or did Bruce Pearl get some good news from Harris on the visit and pull the Vols offer from Pinkston?
We'll find out later this evening when this recruiting finally reaches a conclusion.
