Woodley re-opens; QB's future uncertain

Luke Woodley, Scout.com two-star quarterback from Dallas-Highland Park, Texas, committed to Louisville in the summer. He spoke to former head coach Steve Kragthorpe and plans to wait to see what happens. Will Woodley stick or follow the coach who recruited him?

(Luke Woodley, one of Louisville's top committed prospects, will re-consider his options in the wake of Steve Kragthorpe's dismissal following a 4-8 season).

"I guess you can say I am open now," said Luke Woodley. "I have spoken to coach Kragthorpe. I'm going to wait to see who they hire. I am also going to see where he goes. It's very upsetting. I was looking forward to playing at Louisville."

Woodley talked more about the conversation with Kragthorpe.

"I spoke to him last night," he said. "He just apologized for the way everything worked out. He said he is talking to other schools and has some other offers. He wants me to go with him wherever he goes. He should know something within a week or two."

Woodley is uncertain of his future. "It just depends," Woodley said about following Kragthorpe. "I would like to meet the coaches he has with him. I would see if it was a better fit for me. I love coach Kragthorpe and his philosophy. He is a good overall coach.

"I am also going to see who Louisville hires. I could end up liking him. I am just going to wait and see. I was planning on taking my official visit up there within the next week, but I will wait now."

Woodley plans to graduate in December and hopes to have his future settled soon.

"I still plan on enrolling at a school in January," Woodley said. "Wherever I end up going I think it will be a huge benefit for me."

Woodley completed his senior season 268-of-380 for 4,161 yards, 41 touchdowns and only seven interceptions.
