Can Strong sway Patterson?

Tim Patterson, a three-star defensive lineman from Louisville Central, is leaning toward Kentucky. But the life-long UofL fan plans to give new Louisville coach Charlie Strong a chance to change his mind before he makes a decision about his future.

Can Charlie Strong sway Tim Patterson, perhaps the city of Louisville's best 2010 prospect, to stay home and play for the Cardinals? Patterson says he'll give the new Louisville coach an opportunity to change his mind, though currently he's leaning toward Kentucky.

"He's a pretty good coach from what I've heard," Patterson said. "But I don't know if it's going to change things recruiting-wise. As of now, things are still the same."

Patterson said Kentucky is his leader. He said he liked "everything" about Kentucky. "They're easy to get along with," Patterson said.

Though Kentucky sits atop Patterson's list at the moment, the three-star defensive end said he wouldn't make a decision until he's had a chance to get to know Louisville coach Charlie Strong. Patterson said he doesn't know much about Strong other than he was "coming from Florida."

"I'll probably take a visit there [Louisville] to talk to him and see what he's like before I do anything," Patterson said.

Patterson said his leg injury was coming along "good" and he's currently doing rehab.
