Another commitment; NJ WR pulls trigger

Senorise Perry got the commitment-train rolling. Saturday night, InsideTheVille.com learned that Louisville picked up a second commitment from New Jersey wide receiver/safety Kai Dominguez.

Senorise Perry went first. Saturday night, New Jersey wide receiver/safety Kai Dominguez decided to follow with another commitment for Louisville coach Charlie Strong.

Dominguez, a 6-1, 185-pound wide receiver from Montvale (NJ) St. Joseph, runs a 4.5-forty and also had an offer from Syracuse.

A teammate of three-star running back Kamal Hogan, who is also visiting Louisville this weekend, Dominguez made the trip to UofL with his parents this weekend. Hogan has narrowed his list to Louisville and Syracuse and could make a nice little package deal for the Cardinals.

Dominguez was the US Air Force National Player of the Week as senior after scoring two touchdowns in a win over Wayne Hills to snap their 55-game winning streak. Dominguez caught four passes for 72 yards and added five tackles. He made a 28-yard touchdown catch and a 4-yard run for another score in the game.

Dominguez was rated the No. 1 preseason wide receiver prospect in his state by the New Jersey Star-Ledger. Dominguez caught six touchdown passes as a junior while leading St. Joseph to a state title. As a senior, Dominguez had 45 receptions for 800 yards and seven touchdowns. He also recorded 28 tackles and forced a fumble on defense.

Dominguez also is a standout baseball and basketball athlete for St. Joseph. He was a first-team All-Suburban selection this year.
