Lockridge visiting; So are Coleman, Dieng

Louisville continues its search for a 2010 wing. P.J. Lockridge, an athletic 6'5 wing from Collinsville (VA) Heat Academy, is visiting Louisville Monday and will watch the Cardinals game against UConn Monday night.

P.J. Lockridge, an athletic 6-5 wing, is visiting Louisville. He'll attend the Cardinals game against Connecticut Monday night at Freedom Hall.

"They've been showing a lot of interest over the last couple of months," Lockridge's coach Jason Nesbit said. "They're very interested. Walter McCarty has been to see him."

Louisville has been actively seeking a wing prospect to add to their 2010 recruiting class. The Cardinals recently offered five-star prospect Justin Coleman and seems to be the top choice. The question now is whether Louisville will offer Lockridge a scholarship.

"I think that's the reason he's down there now," Nesbit said. "I'm waiting to hear myself. He just wants to see what the situation is all about, check out the campus and watch them play in person."

Nesbit didn't know if Lockridge would accept a Louisville offer during his visit if the Cardinals presented one.

"Possibly, but I'm not sure," Nesbit said. "It's possible but I can't say for sure if he would give a verbal commitment right on the spot."

Lockridge has offers from Rhode Island and South Florida, while Georgia is showing interest.

"He's a 6'5, 210-pound wing and he's a big-time scorer," Nesbit said. "He likes to get to the basket and finish above the rim. He's a very exciting player."
