Brooks wavering on Louisville commitment

Jamaine Brooks, a talented defensive tackle from Miami, committed to Louisville last week. But after a visit to Minnesota this weekend, it sounds like the 6-4, 310-pound Brooks is having serious second thoughts about that decision. InsideTheVille.com spoke with Brooks about his upcoming announcement.

Jamaine Brooks committed to Louisville last week, but now is wavering on that commitment after a visit to Minnesota over the weekend. A talented defensive tackle from Miami (FL) Palmetto, Brooks is concerned he won't be able to see the field as early at Louisville as he would if he signs with Minnesota.

"Who am I going to sign with? Either Louisville or Minnesota," Brooks said Monday afternoon. "I like Louisville a lot but they have too many D-tackles already and I feel like I won't see the field [early]. They got Todd Chandler going there now and Minnesota lost a bunch of interior guys so I could go there and probably [play] as a freshman. Instead of going to and being average I can go to Minnesota and probably be great there. I can go to Minnesota and get on the field quick."

Brooks said he's still committed to Louisville but there seems to be serious doubt he'll sign with the Cardinals on National Signing Day.

"I haven't committed to Minnesota," Brooks said. "I'm committed to Louisville right now. I might change my mind on signing day."

Brooks said he'll announce a decision on signing day.
