The 6'10 Huntington Prep big man made another unofficial visit to Louisville Monday night and the Cardinals are a major contender for Dieng's commitment.
"I think Gorgui's going to make a decision pretty soon," Huntington coach Rob Fulford said. "He's getting close. He's definitely interested in Louisville. Within the last two weeks, UCLA, Florida, Memphis, they've all gotten involved and it's become overwhelming for him. Originally he wanted to wait but I think now he wants to go ahead and get it over with."
"Right now he really likes Marshall and really likes Louisville," Fulford said. "I would say those are the two he talks about the most. Memphis just offered and Virginia Tech was in early. I would say Louisville, Marshall and Virginia Tech are three main [leaders] now."
Is Louisville the clear-cut favorite?
"I don't know how clear, but they're up there on the list," Fulford said. "He's going to shorten the list in the next week, week and a half and then make a decision soon. We're already telling some people it's a little late to get involved with him. But Louisville is obviously up there."
