Thursday, Hall and teammates DeVontae Beach, a 241-pound LB, and Lamont McMurry, a speedy running back accompanied St. X coach Mike Glaser on a visit to UofL to meet with Louisville coach Charlie Strong.
"The coaches are really friendly down there," Hall said. "I met Charlie Strong the first time today. He's a real nice guy. He showed us what they do during the off-season and then we talked to some of the other coaches."
Hall, helped lead St. Xavier to the state championship this season with a win over Trinity in the title game. Hall was a star on defense as the Tigers held the Shamrocks to just 55 yards in the second half of a 34-10 win.
"I like Louisville because it's the hometown team and I think with Coach Strong they're going to build a nice, strong program that's going to put the city of Louisville on the map even better than when they went to the Orange Bowl," Hall said. "I like them. They are definitely a favorite and a top school on my list."
A good athlete, Hall projects as a cornerback/return man in college. He made 75 tackles, seven interceptions, two sacks and had seven touchdowns as a junior, including a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown against rival Trinity.
"Most of my touchdowns came off of punt and kickoff returns," Hall said. "I also blocked four punts."
Hall plans to visit Kentucky, Cincinnati and Louisville this summer. He said he would attend Louisville's junior day on March 27.
"[UofL] didn't say anything about an offer [today] but Coach Glaser was telling me they really like me and that's what they're thinking about doing at this point," Hall said.
