Georgia All-State QB interested in the Cardinals

Alex Mortensen, who is the son of ESPN NFL analyst Chris Mortensen, has expressed interest in the Cardinals.

Alex Mortensen of Landmark Christian High School in Fairburn, Georgia, will be one of the most sought after quarterbacks in the region this recruiting season.

As a junior, Alex (6'2, 180) threw for 2,270 yards, 25 touchdown passes and only 6 interceptions. He was named All-State honorable mention following the 2002 season. Over the past two seasons as a starter, Mortensen has tossed for 3,428 yards, 37 TDs and 16 interceptions while compliling a 18-5 record.

The son of ESPN NFL analyst Chris Mortensen, Alex has expressed interest in visiting the Louisville program.

"I know I will go with my team to Georgia's camp, one of the Nike Camps and would like to camp at Alabama, Louisville, Maryland and pick some others," Mortensen told Jamie Newburg of TheInsidersRecruiting.com.
