"It went well," Worthy said. "I toured the facilities, sat in on the meetings with the coaches and watched these guys practice. As soon as I walked in [Strong] was walking down the stairs and I talked to him a little and I sat in on one of his meetings when he was talking to the players. They watched my highlight tape and he said they liked it and they want me to come up there. He's a really good coach and he wants his players to play hard."
Worthy maintains constant contact with Cardinals assistant Mike Groh, whom he said he talks with "every other day." Groh, an assistant at Alabama last season, recruits that state for the Cardinals. He's expected to watch Worthy next month at his high schools spring practice.
"They didn't say much about an offer, they just talked about coming to see me during my spring practice," Worthy said.
A big play receiver, Worthy watched Louisville's offense closely during Wednesday's practice. He spoke with wide receiver coach Ron Dugans and saw the Cards receivers make plays down field during the afternoon practice.
"I like their offense. They like to run deep routes and that's what I like to run – I like to get the ball and make plays," said Worthy. "He's [Dugans] going to be straight-up with you. He worked the receivers hard but at the same time he wants you to have fun."
Worthy has offers from Ole Miss and Arkansas. Besides his visit to Louisville, Worthy has also visited Ole Miss and Auburn and plans to visit Kentucky later this month. He said he plans to attend the Cardinals senior camp later this summer.
"I didn't get many catches last [season] but when the ball is in my hands I make plays," Worthy said. "When the ball is in the air I can go get it. I've got good hands and when you need I play I can do it."
