Demarius Rancifer, Elliot's teammate, also checked out the Cardinals. Rancifer, a talented 6'2, 210-pound linebacker, is the nephew of Louisville strength coach Pat Moorer.
"It was great and everything I expected it to be," Rancifer said. "It's a good program and I think it's going to continue to rise and be a great program. I like the coaches. They make me feel at home and I like the players. We walked in the locker room and talked to them and it was really good."
"Louisville is No. 1 right now because I want to go there, not because of my uncle," Rancifer said. "I'm going to sit back and wait awhile before I make a decision, probably before our season starts."
Rancifer said he may visit WVU and Maryland this summer. He also said there's a strong possibility that he and Elliot might continue playing together in college.
"We' ve been playing high school ball for three years," Rancifer said. "The (Louisville) coaches like both of us and we both like Louisville. So why not? Their defense is coming along. The spring game was real nice and I can see myself playing in that defense as a linebacker."
