Mungwa talks Louisville

Oradell, N.J., native Shutang Mungwa received his third offer from Louisville this week and while he got the chance to talk to his recruiting coordinator Larry Slade he still admits he has a lot to learn about the program.

Shutang Mungwa, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound strong safety from Bergen Catholic High School talked to Scout.com recently about his latest offer from Louisville.

"Like I said, I picked up a Louisville offer this week and I talked to Coach Larry Slade since we talked last," Mungwa stated. "Coach Slade is a good guy and I found out he coached with Tennessee last year which was exciting because he coached my favorite safety in Eric Berry who is an excellent safety. He seemed like a really good guy and someone who probably has a ton of knowledge about the game."

"It's definitely going to be a learning process about Louisville for me and I want to get down there and get a feel for what their goals are as a program," Mungwa explained. "Coach Slade just gave me a call to establish a relationship, so it was just a feeling out period, but I'm going to try and get in contact with Head Coach Charlie Strong a little later in the week and hope to learn a little bit more about the program at that point. At that point I'm hoping to learn more about what he's all about. I know he had an excellent defense at Florida and I'm confident in his ability, but you always want to get to know someone as a person and find out what they're like."

Mungwa now holds offers from Louisville, Stanford and Syracuse.
