Louisville After Texas Back

Tra Carson, a big 6-foot-1, 218-pound running back from Texarkana (TX) Liberty-Eylau, was surprised about his latest offer from Louisville. Carson says he's interested in the Cardinals and plans to check out Charlie Strong's program this summer.

The offers keep pouring in for Texarkana (Texas) Liberty-Eylau running back Tra Carson. The 6-foot-1, 218-pound back pulled in his third scholarship offer.

The latest offer hails from Louisville. The Cardinals coaching staff contacted Carson on Monday afternoon to inform him that they were offering.

"My family and I were shocked that they offered. I really haven't talked to the coaches before , but I will definitely get to know them now," said Carson.

While Carson may not be familiar with the new coaching staff at Louisville, there are still some things that he likes about the program.

"I like that they are in the Big East. They have a metropolitan campus and it's located in the nation's 16th largest city."

Carson has yet to check out the Louisville campus, but that will likely change within the upcoming months.

"I definitely plan on taking a visit to Louisville. I want to check out the campus and get to know Coach (Charlie) Strong."

Carson holds two other offers from Minnesota and Wyoming.

He finished his junior season with 1,362 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.
