Louisville makes cut for four-star WR

Bill Belton, a four-star wide receiver from Atco (NJ) Winslow H.S., has picked up a long list of offers this spring. Belton recently narrowed his list and several Big East programs, including Louisville, made the cut.

Bill Belton, a four-star wide receiver from Atco, N.J., is one of the most sought prospect on the east coast.

Belton, who visited Louisville in April, recently narrowed his list and told Scout.com that he's still considering ten schools - nearly half of which play in the Big East, including the Cardinals.

"I've narrowed my list down to Cincinnati, West Virginia, Louisville, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina and Purdue," Belton told Scout.com over the weekend. "There are some schools that I like in that group more than others, but I want to keep an open mind with these ten schools."

Belton, 5-10, 190, plans to trim the list even more this summer, then says he'll make his official visits in the fall before making his decision.

"I'm probably going to make another cut here in August or so before the season starts," Belton explained. "I want to get it down to five before the season starts so I can take all five of my official visits and make my decision from there."

Belton, the 13th best wide receiver prospect in the nation, was a quarterback as a junior. He threw for 2,200 yards and 15 touchdowns and also ran for another 1,000 yards and 15 scores on the ground.
