"We're going to announce something tomorrow and I can't really talk about it right now," Sallie told InsideTheVille.com. "The visit was great and I really liked everything."
Sallie's visit to Louisville was his first since announcing his plans to leave Memphis. The 6-foot-5, 196-pound wing appeared to be a Louisville 'lean' prior to his visit and Sallie's statement of a decision the day after his visit with Rick Pitino's program seems to bode well for the Cardinals.
Sallie is expected to graduate from Memphis in August and would be able to play next season for the Cardinals. He averaged 10.5 points and four rebounds as a junior, leading the Tigers with 64 three-pointers.
Prior to his visit, Sallie expressed to InsideTheVille.com that he had strong interest in playing for Pitino.
"I want to make my decision very soon because I don't want this to prolong into July," Sallie said. "I want to know where I'm going and get to work. That's why I'm going to Louisville first. I feel pretty strong about them. The advantage they have over other [schools] is obviously the coach. I want to play for a coach that's an NBA coach because that's where I want to go and I feel with another year in the right system I can do that."
