Calvin Pryor is one of the panhandle's top players and he is one of Florida's top two-way threats for 2011. While Pryor is a talented ball carrier most schools feel Calvin has a higher ceiling as a defensive back in college.
Pryor hasn't been out visiting schools much this summer as he's been working out preparing for his senior season.
"Things have been great," said the 3-star safety. "I'm just working out and getting geared up for school. I'm really excited about my senior year, and then after that it is off to the next level."
Calvin has been happy with how his recruitment has unfolded. He feels he has a great set of schools to choose from. Now that the season is just around the corner the 6'2" 200 pound athlete says 3 schools are starting to stand out.
"It is going well," said Pryor of his recruitment. "I have a great selection of schools to pick from so it is going well. I do have 3 favorites now. They are (in nor order) Louisville, Florida State and Maryland. They are my top 3 because they have been there since day 1, and I have great relationships with the coaches at each school."
Calvin hopes to visit some schools before school starts back.
"I haven't visited any schools but hope to before school starts back," said Pryor. "I will visit my favorites and I will visit Clemson and Tennessee. I will visit Arkansas if I get the chance."
