Buie likes UofL's straight-forward approach

Three-star Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian running Andrew Buie holds nearly 20 big-time offers, including from Louisville. The 5'10, 190-pound Buie visited Louisville last month and told InsideTheVille.com that he likes the Cardinals 'straight-forward' approach to his recruitment.

Louisville has quite a few offers out there for the 2011 football class. One of which is to Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian Academy star running back Andrew Buie.

The Cards are among the many teams trying to get in on the speedy back's recruiting process though. He claims about "19 or 20" offers at this time, including a host of BCS schools. The list is quite impressive: Auburn, Iowa State, Maryland, Minnesota, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee, as well as Louisville to name a few.

Buie's list is wide open with no favorites to speak of, so as you can imagine, he doesn't really have a timetable set for his decision. "I'm gonna try to narrow my list down a little bit, take some visits, and make my decision whenever I feel comfortable."

Speaking of those visits, he's traveled quite a bit over the summer. He's taken trips to Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, South Carolina, and Tennessee, all unofficials. As for his official visits, "I'm gonna wait until I have a top 5 before I start taking those," says the Jacksonville standout.

On the Louisville side of things, wide receivers coach Ron Dugans is the one handling his recruitment as he said he spoke with him quite frequently. As far as the things that standout for him about the program, "they're all good guys, good all-around guys that are just straight-forward with me."

While he didn't have a timetable set up for his decision, he did reveal some things that will factor into his choice. "I'm looking for a family oriented place, a school to showcase the talents that I'm blessed with. I'm also looking for a fair opportunity to play early."

Buie ran for over 1,900 yards in 2009, while accumulating 22 touchdowns en route to being named to the Florida 1A all-state team. The running back was recently named the 83rd-best prospect in the state of Florida according to sunstatefootball.com.
