Quincy Miller sets official visit to UofL

BREAKING NEWS: Quincy Miller, Scout.com's No. 2-overall prospect, has scheduled his official visit to Louisville. Rick Pitino's program has put a full-court press on the 6-foot-9 forward this summer and hope Miller's visit leads to a huge commitment for the Cardinals.

Quincy Miller, the No. 2-rated prospect in the Class of 2011, will make an official visit to Louisville September 4 - huge news for Rick Pitino's program.

"Yes, he's visiting Louisville that weekend," a source close to Miller confirmed to InsideTheVille.com Wednesday.

Miller emerged this summer as a major factor in Pitino's recruiting plans for the Class of 2011. Miller, along with AAU teammate Deuce Bello, made an unofficial visit to Louisville last season, but the Cardinals fell off his list shortly thereafter.

Enter Tim Fuller, Louisville's new assistant coach. Since Fuller's arrival earlier this summer, the Cardinals have not only re-entered the picture with Miller, but, according to sources, might be the team to beat for the talented 6-foot-9 forward. Baylor is also believed to be a contender for Miller's services.

Pitino is seeking a major talent infusion into his program from the Class of 2011. Miller, the No. 1-rated power forward in the nation, would provide a huge shot in the arm for Louisville.

The Cardinals already have verbal commitments from Wayne Blackshear, a Top 15 prospect nationally, and Zach Price, one of the top centers in a recruiting class that lacks quality big men.

It appears the weekend Miller will make his official visit to Louisville is shaping up as a major recruiting weekend for the Cardinals. Top 50 Baltimore shooting guard Nick Faust will also make an official visit that weekend, and Bello, a Top 40 small forward, also could be on campus. More are also expected.
