Stone to play against Memphis

"We have worked cooperatively with the NCAA to address their questions," said James Ramsey, University of Louisville President. "Based on the information we have, we are confident Marvin has committed no violations."

As first expected yesterday, until a change in decision came just minutes prior to tip off, Marvin Stone has been cleared to play.

University of Louisville President James Ramsey and Athletic Director Tom Jurich announced on Friday afternoon that Marvin Stone will be allowed to play against Memphis in the Conference USA semifinals.

"We have taken a very cautious approach as it affects not only Marvin, but the future of our athletic program," said Tom Jurich. "At the same time, we have aggressively investigated all of the issues raised by the NCAA."
