Bello set for first two official visits

As the fall rapidly approaches it's a popular time to set up official visits. Deuce Bell, a highly regarded and uber-athletic wing, has two trips on his docket.

With summer ball over, Deuce Bello is starting to look at the recruiting process more and more.

A standout at High Point (N.C.) Westchester Academy, Bello has trips set up a pair of official visits. He'll go to Louisville on September 4th and Baylor on September 11th.

"I think I'm going to take some more visits, but I haven't set them up yet," Bello told

Among the other schools involved in his recruitment are Florida State, Miami, Maryland, Alabama and Oklahoma. Bello said all seven of the schools involved have offered him a scholarship.

"I think I'm just going to go with the flow," Bello said. "If I see that everything is right when I go on a visit then I'm going to [commit]. If not then I'll just play it out."

Louisville got heavily involved in Bello's recruitment in the spring. Bello, a 6-foot-4 wing, said he's developed a strong relationship with Rick Pitino.

"I like coach P," Bello said. "I call him on a regular basis. Tim Fuller is recruiting us too and they are good guys. I went to a game last year when they played Syracuse and I liked that visit."

The visit to Baylor shouldn't come as a surprise. Bello has a bunch of connections to the program. Former AAU teammate Stargell Love is a freshman there and former AAU coach Dwon Clifton was a coach there last year.

"They already have a point guard that I know, Stargell," Bello said. The have Perry [Jones], but I don't know if he'll be there when I get there. Dwon [Clifton] used to coach there and he came back with good stuff on them. Coach Drew and I have a great relationship too. "

Bello, a four-star prospect, is currently ranked No. 37 overall in the 2011 class.
