Pitino's big recruiting weekend gets 'Bigger'

Chane Behanan, who visited Louisville last week, was scheduled to make an official visit to West Virginia this weekend. However, Scout.com's No. 29 2011 prospect has a big change of plans that qualifies as BIG news for another Big East program.

Chane Behanan, Scout.com's No. 29-ranked prospect, was scheduled to make an official visit to West Virginia this weekend.

But the 6'7, 250-pound power forward has changed those plans and will instead visit Louisville.

Behanan will make his second visit with Rick Pitino's Cardinals in ten days. The NBA Top 100 Camp MVP also visited Louisville last week.

It's going to be a star-studded weekend for Pitino's program, who also will host Quincy Miller, Scout.com's No. 2 2011 prospect, Deuce Bello, a Top 40 prospect from North Carolina, and Josiah Turner, a five-star point guard from California. Louisville commit Zach Price, who recently transferred to Jeffersontown HS, also will be on campus for Louisville's big recruiting weekend.

"There are big recruiting weekends and then there are BIG recruiting weekends," said Scout.com national recruiting director Dave Telep. "The Louisville Cardinals are about to have a significant crop of high-major players on campus at one time."

Pitino hopes to land a 'blockbuster' 2011 recruiting haul and this weekend's visitors could further that endeavor. The Cardinals already holds commitments from Price, Top 15 shooting guard Wayne Blackshear, and 6'6 forward Ryan Taylor.
