ESPN Picks Up LSU Spring Game

The LSU Spring Game will be televised by ESPN for the second year in a row.

BATON ROUGE – For the second straight year, ESPN will televise the LSU National L Club Spring Game, the network announced.


The LSU National L Club Spring Game will be played on Saturday, April 9 in Tiger Stadium. Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 3 p.m. and tickets to the game will be free of charge. Details regarding the distribution of free tickets will be made in the coming weeks.


LSU opens spring football practice on Friday, March 11 as the Tigers begin preparations for their seventh season under head coach Les Miles. LSU will practice a total of 15 times between March 11 and April 9 culminating with the spring game.


LSU opens the 2011 season in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas against Oregon.  The Tigers return 15 starters and a total of 53 letterwinners from last year’s team that posted an 11-2 overall mark, beat Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl and finished the season ranked No. 8 in the nation.

Week 1: March 11, 12

Week 2: March 15, 17, 19

Week 3: March 22, 24, 26

Week 4: March 29, 31, April 2

Week 5: April 5, 6, 7, 9 (Spring Game)
