"When I got the offer I kind of knew what I was going to do," said Louis. "It was just too good of an opportunity to sit on for too long. There was no reason for me to wait any longer because playing at LSU is something I've always thought about."
Louis, who is just under 6-foot and now weighing 210 pounds, committed to the Tigers on Tuesday over scholarship offers from Florida, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and UL-Lafayette.
He says he always dreamed of playing for the Tigers and that dream inched closer to becoming a reality after he talked to his parents on Sunday and Monday.
"My family is very close so we talked about it and the feeling was that there was no reason to wait any longer," Louis said.
The offer from Miles was the first step in helping Louis reach his decision but seeing everything LSU had to offer on Saturday is what sealed the deal.
"LSU has everything," Louis said. "Their facilities are top of the line and the support they give you for academics is too. I hit it off with all of the coaches and then being so close to my family was big. It was really everything I was looking for."
TigerSportsDigest.com will have more on Louis' commitment later today.
