Current height and weight….. “5-10, 212 pounds.”
Hearing on MLB Draft….. “I’m hearing I’ll go somewhere between the top five rounds by some and then others are saying I’ll go by round seven.”
Big decision ahead….. “Right now, I’m focused on going to school but if that happens and I go that high then I’ll have to talk with my parents and weight the pro’s and con’s then make the best decision for me.”
Is anyone helping him with the decision….. “I’ve talked to some people who have been in this situation before and they’ve given me their input and how it worked out for them. It’s worked out well for some and not so much for others and you would expect that since every person is unique.”
1st love football or baseball….. “I’ve always looked at both the same way. When it’s football season I’m all football when baseball rolls around then I’m in that baseball mode.”
LSU football coaches talking about the draft…… “They really haven’t said anything to me about it. They know I’m focused on football now that my baseball season ended and they know I’m going to give that all of my attention.”
LSU football coaches are expecting Magee to…. “Come in and contribute right away. They feel like I can play right away so that’s what I’m going to try and do.”
Biggest gains from Tommy Moffitt’s workout program….. “I’ve gained a lot as far as getting bigger, stronger and more flexible. I haven’t maxed out or anything but I know I’ve gotten a lot stronger. I already had good speed but I can tell I’ve gotten quicker and faster.”
Roommates at LSU….. “Brandon Taylor and Chris Tolliver”
Looking forward to the most with football….. “Just competing for a spot on the field and having fun.”
Thoughts on running out of the tunnel in Tiger Stadium for the first time….. “That’s going to be good. I think about it but I just don’t know what it’s going to be like. It’s probably going to be real nerve-racking and I can’t wait to see what that feels like.”
