LSU Commits Enjoying Early Season Success

Most of the prospects pledged to Coach Les Miles and LSU for the 2012 signing class are off to a strong start this season. Several of the commitments are enjoying an undefeated season so far, but there are some very important match-ups coming this game week.

Last week the Breaux Bridge trio of Travin Dural, Kavahra Holmes and Lamar Louis picked up a huge win over the Pios of Notre Dame.

Travin scored a first half touchdown on a nice 87 yard catch and run.

He also added a 13 yard rushing touchdown on an end around.

Kavahra did his part by taking a pass 75 yards to the endzone.

The nail in the coffin proved to be a 47 scoring scamper by Lamar Louis.

This week Breaux Bridge will take on Comeaux who bested LSU pledge Davante Bourque and Crowlely last week 49-7.

Bourque and his squad will look to get on track this week at Washington Marion (0-2).

Jerqwinick Sandolph and Hahnville have a tough task this week as they travel to Lutcher and their talented team of veteran players.

Jerald Hawkins and West St. Mary's are enjoying a 2-0 start and they are favored to win this week as they host Ellender (0-2).

Derrick Raymond and East Jefferson will put their 2-0 record on the line as they travel to Ponchatoula.

Ronnie Feist and West St. John are also unblemished on the campaign and will look to stay that way as they travel to Bonnabel.

In one of the more anticipated match-ups of the weekend, Dillon Gordon and Curtis will travel to East St. John in a contest that will feature several division one prospects.

John Thomas and Airline (1-1) will look to get over .500 with an important road win at Alexandria.

Troshiro Davis and Woodlawn have had their struggles and currently sit at 0-2.

A road trip to Bastrop is on the slate this week, so there is a good possibility WHS has to wait at least another week for their first win of the season.

Trey Granier and Thibodaux High (0-2) are in a similar position as they host 2-0 Assumption.

Derek Edinburgh and Edna Karr (0-2) have their work cut for them this week as they take on Destrehan (2-0).

The newest Tiger pledge, Patrick Miller, will look to lead Dwyer to 2-0 this week. After a 32-7 win over Jupiter last week, Dwyer will host Seminole Ridge (0-2).

Danielle Hunter and Morton Ranch are currently 3-0 and will host Memorial who picked up a big win over Pearland last week.

Jalen Mills and DeSoto have been rolling in the early going. The Eagles have looked impressive in their three wins this season.

The DeSoto defense has only allowed 16 points combined in their three 2011 games.

Jalen will look to do his part to help the team advance to 4-0 as they take on Stony Point this week in their first road game of the year.

Reid Ferguson and Buford High are having their way with opponents. In four wins this season, BHS has outscored their opponents 175-14.

This week Buford will take on Lovett in a battle of undefeateds.

Avery Johnson and Ely (1-1) will travel to Taravella in search of win number two.

LSU commitment Dwayne Thomas and O. Perry Walker will enjoy a bye week.

Next week Thomas will get the chance to go head to head with future teammate Ronnie Feist and his West St. John.
