Companioni, a sophomore from Tampa, Fla., helped guide LSU to its sixth appearance at the NCAA Championships in the last seven years. Day turned in here best round of the season at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic, shooting an even par 72, while her top finish of the year was an 18th-place showing at the same event.

A two-time recipient of the LSU's Director's Cup, Day has been laden with academic honors in her three seasons at LSU. In addition to being inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma national student-athlete honor society, the mass communications major has been listed on the Chancellor's Honor Roll each and every semester of enrollment and been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll three times.
