Randy Rosetta

Randy Rosetta
Last week:
17-3 (.850)
Season: 167-53 (.759)

LSU at Ole Miss: The Tigers and Les Miles have said all the right things this week about the game with the Rebels being a big rivalry game, but the normal script just doesn't seem to be there. LSU is simply too strong and won't flinch much. … LSU 41, Ole Miss 13

Kentucky at Georgia:
These two teams have had shootouts the last two years with much less on the line for either team. The Bulldogs have more firepower this time and a heavy dose of motivation. … Georgia 35, Kentucky 14

Mississippi State at Arkansas:
The Bulldogs gave the Razorbacks all they wanted last season and many of the same cast of characters is back – and healthy now with quarterback Chris Relf expected to return to action. State's defense has held tough against LSU and Alabama, but the Razorbacks are a much different test. … Arkansas 34, Miss. State 24

Vanderbilt at Tennessee:
No team has struggled more to beat Tennessee except Kentucky, but this may be the best Vanderbilt team since the early 1980s. Winning in Neyland Stadium will certainly be tough, but the Commodores have the right combination to get it done this time. … Vanderbilt 27, Tennessee 21

Virginia at Florida State:
The Cavaliers are quietly one win away from playing for a chance to go to the ACC Championship Game. But stretching their win streak to four games will be tough against a Seminoles' team that has rediscovered defense, allowing only 11.6 points a contest in a five-game ACC run. … Florida State 31, Virginia 17

Cincinnati at Rutgers:
One of the best offenses in the Big East (Cincinnati) faces one of the league's best defenses (Rutgers) in a battle of co-leaders. Difference is that the Bearcats will be without QB Zach Collaros and the Knights' defense is intact. … Rutgers 23, Cincinnati 21

Taylor Martinez and the Huskers head to the Big House to face Michigan

Nebraska at Michigan: The Cornhuskers' offense has suddenly hit a lull, scoring only 66 points in the last three games, although two have been wins. That slowdown doesn't bode well against a Wolverines' defense that ranks fifth nationally in scoring defense, giving up only 15.5 points a game. … Michigan 28, Nebraska 19

Oklahoma at Baylor:
The Sooners have scored 49 points or more in three of the last four meetings against the Bears and Baylor has allowed 36 points or more in its three losses this season. With a second chance at BCS glory looming, OU will be focused. … Oklahoma 49, Baylor 27

SMU at Houston:
With the national spotlight on them and a reeling group of Mustangs in town, this is no time for the Cougars to stumble and lose their first game. … Houston 52, SMU 21

Miami at South Florida:
Bulls coach Skip Holtz was poised to be a prime candidate for high-profile jobs early in the season, but now he's just got to worry about trying to get his team to a bowl. The Hurricanes are in a similar predicament and would like to play in a bowl now before the NCAA drops the hammer. … Miami 31, South Florida 28

Boston College at Notre Dame:
BC is scrounging out only 18 points a game – a big reason why the Eagles will miss a bowl for the first time since 1998. No problem there for the Irish, who average 38.3 points in their seven wins. … Notre Dame 45, Boston College 10

USC at Oregon:
This is the Trojans' second chance at nabbing the kind of victory a team with no bowl game looming can use as a building block. If anybody in the Pac-12 has the horses to run with the Ducks, it's USC. But Troy doesn't have quite enough. … Oregon 37, USC 30

Clemson at N.C. State:
The Tigers surged back from to beat Wake Forest to avoid a second straight loss and clinch the ACC Atlantic Division title and now they can build on that momentum by handing the Wolf Pack an eighth loss in a row in the series. … Clemson 43, N.C. State 25

Wisconsin at Illinois:
While this isn't necessarily a must-win for the Badgers, they'd love to sustain a head of steam heading into a showdown for the Big Ten Leaders Division crown against Penn State. It might be a must-win for Illini coach Ron Zook to keep his job. … Wisconsin 52, Illinois 28

Oklahoma State at Iowa State:
The Cowboys have a BCS Championship shot at their fingertips, but they have a few hurdles left – including this trickier than seems road trip to cold Iowa State. OSU plows ahead, but it won't be a cakewalk. …Oklahoma State 38, Iowa State 27

California at Stanford:
Time to see what the Cardinal is made of. After Oregon punctured Stanford's national championship dreams last week, a bitter rivalry game could be a perfect cure. … Stanford 48, California 21

North Carolina at Virginia Tech:
The Hokies have bigger fish to fry a week from now against in-state rival Virginia, but beating the Tar Heels is a chance for Tech to stay on the fringe of the BCS Championship discussion. … Virginia Tech 26, North Carolina 17

Penn State at Ohio State:
It's been quite a bit quieter around State College this week, but the cloud of controversy is still hovering. Don't look for a lot of offense in this showdown of disgraced juggernauts. …Penn State 17, Ohio State 13

Kansas State at Texas:
The Wildcats scored more points in three of the four overtimes they played against Texas A&M last week than the Longhorns managed in 60 minutes against Missouri in a 17-5 loss. But will K-State have any gas in the tank this week? … Texas 30, K-State 27

Boise State at San Diego State:
Similarly to Stanford, the Broncos have a lot to prove this week and they'll have to do against an Aztecs team that isn't that far off from being right in the hunt of the Mountain West race. … Boise State 35, San Diego State 21

Boise State at San Diego State:
Kellen Moore hopes his name will be considered alongside the likes of Luck and Weeden in the Heisman hunt. Against the Aztecs, Moore will post better numbers than Luck-Weeden this weekend. … Boise State 31, San Diego State 10

Last week:
15-5 (.750)
Season: 163-57 (.741)

LSU at Ole Miss: As if the Tigers didn't already have a natural edge in this game, the Rebels will be without thee players, including quarterback Randall Mackey, who were suspended earlier this week. Let's just not repeat 2009, ok LSU? … LSU 43, Ole Miss 12

Kentucky at Georgia:
The Bulldogs are on an eight-game winning streak and a win over the Wildcats will send them to the SEC Championship Game. This will not be a difficult task for 14th-ranked Georgia … Georgia 37, Kentucky 9

Mississippi State at Arkansas:
The Razorbacks still have hope they can make it to Atlanta in December, but two teams stand in their way. Well, really only one team because this week's matchup against Mississippi State at home should be a piece of cake … Arkansas 41, Miss. State 24

Cincinnati at Rutgers:

Nebraska at Michigan:
The Cornhuskers travel to the Big House to face the Wolverines in a big Big Ten matchup. With identical overall and conference records (8-2, 4-2) and a chance for a division title on the line, this one will be close … Michigan 24, Nebraska 21
