Randy Rosetta

Randy Rosetta
Last week:
16-4 (.800)
Season: 196-64 (.754)

LSU vs. Georgia: Kinda feel like the run of blowouts is over for the Tigers considering who they play in their next few games, starting with this one. Georgia is talented enough on a nice enough roll to give LSU all its wants. For a half, there will be a lot of drama. The Tigers will seize momentum after halftime, score a couple times in the fourth quarter and stay perfect. … LSU 28, Georgia 10

Michigan State vs. Wisconsin:
In a game that arguably cost the Badgers a chance to meet LSU for the national championship, Michigan State played an almost flawless game and still needed a Hail Mary to prevail. Not sure that would even bail the Spartans out against a focused Wisconsin crew this time around. … Wisconsin 38, Michigan State 21

UCLA at Oregon:
This probably wasn't exactly what the Pac-12 had in mind in its inaugural title game. If the NCAA could grant a waiver to let the Bruins play in a bowl game, why not give USC a waiver and let them represent the South Division in this one to make it, you know, interesting? … Oregon 59, UCLA 28

Southern Miss at Houston:
Got to wonder if this is the last game for both coaches in this game and if they're not competing for the same suitors in what's shaping up as a wild coaching caroursel. That aside, this shapes up as a great game between two great offenses. There's no way Case Keenum lets the Cougars lose now. … Houston 42, Southern Miss 38

Justin Blackmon looks to help Oklahoma State knock off Oklahoma

Ohio vs. Northern Illinois: The Huskies run the ball well (255.3 yards a game, 8th nationally), score a bunch of points (39.6 per game, 11th nationally) and have rattled off seven straight wins. That will be enough – barely – against a well-coached Bobcats team for the MAC Championship. … Northern Illinois 35, Ohio 24

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State:
If ever the Cowboys are going to win this game when they're favored and should, it's this season. At home, with a lingering chance to play for the national championship and the Sooners are wounded. Sounds like a good combination for the Pokes, who will win for the first time since the Mad Hatter wore orange, black and white. … Oklahoma State 41, Oklahoma 37

West Virginia at South Florida:
It's very simple for the Mountaineers. To get to a BCS bowl game, they must beat a desperate Bulls' team that has three Big East losses by three points and they need Cincinnati to beat UConn to force a three-way tie with Louisville. Seems like a lot to ask, but WVU should be able to take care of its part. … West Virginia 38, South Florida 31

Iowa State at Kansas State:
Weird two-week for the BCS-busting Cyclones, who go from outscoring Oklahoma State to not being able to scratch much out against Oklahoma. Does ISU have one more jolt of spoiling to pull against a Wildcats team poised for a plum bowl game? Nah, the Cyclones had their moment in the sun. This one is all K-State. … Kansas State 31, Iowa State 14

Texas at Baylor:
If speculation is true about Mack Brown retiring and Texas A&M preparing to fire Mike Sherman, Baylor's Art Briles could be auditioning for both of the Lone Star State's premier jobs. What better way to get the attention of folks in Austin than with a win? … Baylor 35, Texas 31

UConn at Cincinnati:
The Big East's last two BCS representatives close out the regular season with different goals. The Huskies need a win just to go bowling and the Bearcats could slide back into the Orange Bowl with a decisive victory that leapfrogs them over West Virginia in the BCS standings. Cincy has the upper hand here. … Cincinnati 24, UConn 19

Last week:
16-4 (.800)
Season: 186-74 (.715)

LSU vs. Georgia: There should be plenty of red-and-black in the Georgia Dome, but the Tigers flex their depth in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs. … LSU 31, Georgia 17

Michigan State vs. Wisconsin:
If not for two plays, this game might have been to send the Badgers to the BCS National Championship Game. Time for Russell Wilson to add a Big 10 title to his trophy case. … Wisconsin 35, Michigan State 20

DeAnthony Thomas and Oregon are the heavy favorite against UCLA.

UCLA at Oregon: Nothing like playing for the Pac-10 championship, then getting fired. The joys of USC probation. … Oregon 45, UCLA 20

Southern Miss at Houston:
The Golden Eagles spoil Case Keenum's perfect season with a late field goal to win it from New Orleans native Danny Hrapmann. The Cougars will remember the name after this weekend. … Southern Miss 31, Houston 28

Ohio vs. Northern Illinois:
The Huskies get another shot at the MAC championship a year after a loss to Miami in the final minute. Quarterback Chandler Harnish will have a big day passing to give Northern Illinois its first MAC title since 1983. … Northern Illinois 38, Ohio 31

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State:
The Cowboys must make this one look pretty if they are going to have a hope of bouncing Alabama out of the national championship picture. … Oklahoma State 31, Oklahoma 21

West Virginia at South Florida:
The Bulls are 1-5 in conference and 5-6 on the season. The Mountaineers, on the other hand, are playing for a share of the Big East and a spot in a BCS bowl game. ... West Virginia 31, South Florida 17

Iowa State at Kansas State:
The Wildcats can make it four straight victories against the Cyclones with a win. Even better, KSU can get to 10 wins. … Kansas State 24, Iowa State 14

Texas at Baylor:
Can Robert Griffin III make a final plea for the Heisman Trophy by tearing apart the Longhorns? … Baylor 31, Texas 17

UConn at Cincinnati:
The Bearcats have already won four more games than last season, and there's still a shot at claiming a spot in a BCS bowl game. UConn, move over. … Cincinnati 38, UConn 20

Emily Villere

Emily Villere
Last week:
17-3 (.850)
Season: 193-67 (.742)

LSU vs. Georgia: Bulldog linebacker Jarvis Jones says their defense is just as good as the Tigers. Has Georgia watched college football lately? LSU does go up against a good quarterback, but like all the other teams have found out this season, these Tigers are looking straight to the Superdome. …LSU 34, Georgia 21

Wisconsin and running back Montee Ball look for a better finish against Michigan State.

Michigan State vs. Wisconsin: The Badgers have probably watched that Hail Mary a thousand times since the last time they played the Spartans. That loss put Wisconsin in a bad place as they went on to lose two in a row. Now, both teams face off in the Big Ten championship game and the Badgers won't be as surprised when the clock hits 00:00. …Wisconsin 38, Michigan State 27

UCLA at Oregon:
The Bruins have a .500 record and are playing for the inaugural Pac-12 Championship against Oregon. The Ducks are described as "heavily favored" – well thank you, Captain Obvious. …Oregon 45, UCLA 13

Southern Miss at Houston:
Case Keenum's college career seems to have lasted forever. Well now his last season seems to be never-ending. The perfect Cougars host a Golden Eagles team that is also riding its best season yet into the Conference USA Championship Game. Like LSU, Houston will remain undefeated. …Houston 45, Southern Miss 28

Ohio vs. Northern Illinois:
The Huskies are on a roll after quarterback Chandler Harnish was just named the conference MVP. The Bobcats are a very similar squad, but I pick NIU. …Northern Illinois 17, Ohio 14

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State:
The Sooners are out of the national championship picture and are now looking to knock the Cowboys out of it as well. Oklahoma has won the last nine Bedlam games, but this year Mike Gundy pulls a last minute ‘Annexation of Puerto Rico' to make Oklahoma State BCS bowl eligible and give them a shot at NOLA. …Oklahoma State 28, Oklahoma 25

West Virginia at South Florida:
After losing to Louisville, the Mountaineers have squeaked out two conference wins before heading to Tampa to close out the season. A couple things need to shake out before West Virginia can punch a BCS bowl ticket, and the Mountaineers will take care of their part of the deal on Saturday. …West Virginia 27, South Florida 24

Iowa State at Kansas State:
The Wildcats have had a tough close to the season – back-to-back losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, a 4-OT win over Texas A&M and then beat Texas by only four points. This week will be different as K-State looks to win a share of the Big 12 Conference championship – good thing it's the Cyclones in their way. …Kansas State 27, Iowa State 14

Texas at Baylor:
The Bears averaged 46 points per game in their last four matchups – all against Big 12 teams. Robert Griffin averages 334 yards per game. Texas is not that good. …Baylor 31, Texas 24

UConn at Cincinnati:
After two tough Big East Conference losses, the Bearcats bounced back against Syracuse last week and won't have their hands full against UConn. …Cincinnati 31, UConn 14
