All-SEC units filled up with Tigers

Mathieu is the Defensive Player of the Year and Miles earns Coach of the Year honor. Blackwell, Montgomery, Claiborne and Wing land first-team spots. Second-team also filled with Tigers: Randle, Faulk, Mingo, Brockers, Reid and Alleman.

The Associated Press revealed its 2011 All-SEC team Monday and the league champion LSU Tigers were well-represented.

Sophomore defensive back Tyrann Mathieu was voted the Defensive Player of the Year and a quartet of Tigers were tabbed for the first team: Cornerback Mo Claiborne, defensive end Sam Montgomery, guard Will Blackwell and punter Brad Wing.

Second-team LSU players were wide receiver Rueben Randle, left tackle Chris Faulk, defensive end Barkevious Mingo, defensive tackle Mike Brockers, safety Eric Reid and kicker Drew Alleman.

Tigers coach Les Miles was voted the Coach of the Year after guiding his team to the first 12-0 regular season in program history.

Alabama running back Trent Richardson was voted the Offensive Player of the Year, while Georgia back Isaiah Crowell was picked as the Freshman of the Year.

LSU (13-0) will tangle with Alabama (11-1) for the BCS National Championship on Jan. 9.
