Morgan, Millburn among state's McD's nominees

LSU signee and recruiting target on list for prestigious McDonald's All-American game.

Darryl Milburn

LSU signee Malik Morgan and recruiting target Darryl Milburn were named two of the four Louisiana nominees for the 2012 McDonald's All-American Team on Wednesday.

Morgan is producing 19.3 points a game for the top-ranked (Class 2A) Patriots, who are 23-2. A 6-foot-3 guard, he is the only signee to what is expected to be a three- or four-player Class of 2012 for the Tigers.

Milburn is a 6-foot-2 guard for McKinley High in Baton Rouge who averages 20 points a game. Like Morgan, he is rated as a three-star by Scout.com and is also being recruited by Oklahoma State and Tulane.

Besides Milburn, the other Louisiana nominees are St. Augustine guard Javan Felix, who has signed with Texas and Riverside Academy's Ricardo Gathers, who said earlier this week he has committed to Baylor.
