Up next

The Tigers close out their home schedule when they take on Tennessee at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the PMAC.

Of note

  • LSU leads the series 117-84 after crushing the Rebels 81-55 in Baton Rouge on Jan. 5 to start the SEC season and end a four-game losing streak in the series. Ole Miss owns a 57-36 edge in Oxford and has won four of the last five games at the Tad Pad.
  • Ole Miss is last in the SEC in free-throw shooting (59.7%), but is averaging more makes from the stripe than LSU (13.2-12.2).
  • Johnny O'Bryant

Rebounding has been a strength for the Rebels this season, as they lead the league with 37.8 caroms a game. But they were dominated by Tennessee, 40-28, in 73-60 loss on Wednesday in Knoxville.
  • O’Bryant has snatched 8 rebounds or more in four of eight SEC games and averages 7.3 a game.
  • Hamilton’s five field-goal tries against Georgia were his fewest since he launched only four shots against Rutgers on Dec. 3 and he made only one, which is a season-low. He was also limited to 7 points, which matched his low-water mark in SEC play. He also missed his first free throw against the Bulldogs to snap a streak of 19 in a row, but swished his last five – four in the closing minute – and is hitting 79.1% (87 of 110) for the season.
  • Turner is 16-of-19 (84.2%) from the foul stripe in February.
  • After missing 26 of 28 3-pointers over six games, Stringer found his range by connecting on 4-of-9 against Georgia, matching his single-game career high.
  • The last four opponents are averaging 59 points a game against the Tigers and three have scored fewer than 60. LSU is 14-1 this season when foes score under 60.
  • Ole Miss is 82-17 at the Tad Pad in Kennedy’s six seasons. He is 8-5 against the Tigers in his tenure.
  • Terrance Henry

The Rebels are 11-3 this season when their opponent shoots under 40%, something LSU has done just once in its last nine games – the win vs. Georgia (39.3%). Ole Miss allows foes only 59.1 points a game at home.
  • Henry, a native of Monroe who played at Carroll, needs 9 more points to reach 1,000 for his career.
