I am proud to announce that today Mike Coppage has been elevated to the position of LSU Recruiting Analyst for TigerSportsDigest.com, launching a new chapter in this site's comprehensive coverage of LSU sports and recruiting.
Coppage is a Louisiana native who played at Many High School from 1986-88 and was an offensive tackle for a Tigers' team that finished as a state runnerup in 1988.
Since then, he has taken a winding road through the recruiting business, and for the last five years has been a Louisiana recruiting reporter for Scout.com/FOXSportsNext.com.
Quite simply, nobody is as plugged into the state's high school football scene as Coppage, and he will bring that passion and work ethic to his new job.
A new phase begins for Coppage and TSD today, as he takes on the task of providing our passionate and rabid customer base with news, notes and updates on LSU recruits, a job he will now dedicate his focus on moving forward.
Besides producing recruiting coverage – and those of you who know him, know he'll produce a lot of them – Coppage will be very active on the message boards and in our weekly chats.
Buckle up and stay tuned as TSD gets back on the road to providing the best all-around coverage of LSU sports anywhere.
