See you around, TSD friends

A transition arrives for me, but this is just a change of scenery on the LSU beat and hopefully some great friendships will persist.

Never been one who's been great at good-byes, but in this case, it's really more of ‘See you around.'

At least that's my sincere hope as I make a transition from back to the mainstream media world.

I say that because I hope I've done enough to inform and entertain some of you to keep reading as I embark on a new adventure with the New Orleans Times-Picayune and

About 15 months ago, I crossed over to the Internet world for a lot of reasons, one of them because I wanted a little more up-close and personal experience with customers/readers. I love the interaction I've been able to share with most of you since I joined and hope I can replicate that to a degree in my new role.

These sites are the future of sports journalism, in my opinion, from fans of pro sports down the prep and youth level and even with specialty and participatory sports. The folks at the TP and recognize that and are making some changes to accommodate the emerging audiences of the future.

So, like I said, I hope it's ‘see you around.' As much as it's possible, I feel like I've established some friendships during my time here and hope those relationships survive this latest move. I'll still be on and around the boards from time to time to say hello and maybe even jump into a discussion now and then.

This site will go on under new leadership and management and will always have a place in the LSU market as long as there are great customers and members like each and every one of you.
