Sims Wants LSU Offer

Ouachita WR Cameron Sims already has an impressive list of offers. He has even more schools showing interest. But he has his eye on one specific program.

Cameron Sims has a long day in store for him Saturday.

He'll have to leave his home in Monroe at about 5 a.m. to make it to Baton Rouge in time to check in for "Boys from the Boot" — the LSU Junior Day event catered specifically to Louisiana prospects. Sims said he's looking forward to the trip, and has one goal in mind.

"Hopefully getting that offer...It would mean a lot to me," Sims said.

The Ouachita WR doesn't yet hold an offer from the Tigers but has received plenty of interest from the staff. Louisiana is loaded with WR talent in 2014, with guys like Malachi Dupre, Trey Quinn and Devante Noil already holding offers from LSU.

Sims wants to add his name to that group. He does have other options though, with schools like Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Washington offering the three-star prospect.

This week he also picked up offers to play both football and basketball at ULM and Louisiana Tech.

"It means a lot," Sims said. "That's something I really want to do, but if LSU offered me, I'd be willing to just play football."

And if that LSU offer does come this weekend…

"I would probably commit," Sims said.
