Tidbits on Official Visitors

---

A lot of focus has been on LSU commit Rashard Robinson lately. The three-star CB has drawn some concern out of LSU fans with his frequent trips to the Miami campus.

Scout's Mike Bakas reported late Friday that Robinson was in town for the Hurricanes' basketball game against Duke earlier this week. Robinson has also taken a pair of unofficial visits to the Coral Gables in the last couple months.

But all indications are that LSU has nothing to worry about with Robinson. He remains firmly committed to LSU and has every intention of signing with the Tigers on Signing Day.

But Robinson does have several friends committed to Miami in this class as well as current members of the team. That has opened up a connection for the Miami staff to press, so expect him to continue drawing attention until he signs his name on a NLI.

LSU also offered a new prospect a short drive from Robinson's hometown of Pompano Beach.

The Tigers' staff offered Brandon Powell, a 2014 DB out of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Not yet rated, Powell measures in at 6-foot-10, 165 pounds. He currently holds eight offers, including others from Purdue and Tennessee.
