Just like that, LSU scored the biggest win in the young Johnny Jones Era on Wednesday night by holding onto beat No. 17 Missouri 73-70.
The home-standing Tigers, now 11-7 overall and 2-5 in SEC play, nearly blew a 13-point halftime lead when Missouri came roaring back in the second half behind a game-high 25 points from point guard Phil Pressey.
But LSU held on, thanks to a combined 52 points from Anthony Hickey, Johnny O'Bryant and Andre Stringer, and dealt Mizzou its fourth road loss in as many games played away from home this season.
Missouri drops to 15-5 overall, 4-3 in the conference.
