Visits up next for Quinn

With the visit process in full swing for Barbe receiver Trey Quinn, the rising senior has five visits planned for the spring. Aside from visits, Quinn discusses when a decision might come from him and what excites him about one of the schools on his list.

For wide receiver Trey Quinn, the recruiting process is starting to reach the visit stage. The 6-1 190 pound Quinn has already had a chance to take visits to LSU and Texas A&M this spring for junior days. The four-star prospect explained that he recently gave up playing baseball for Barbe High School in an effort to focus his attention strictly on football and figuring out where he will spend his college years.

With things now in full football mode for Quinn, the Louisiana native explained that he already has five visits lined up for the spring that will definitely happen.

"It's picking up a little now," said Quinn, when asked about the recruiting process. "I'm starting to plan all of my visits out for this spring. I'm going to go to Clemson, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, and LSU within the next few months."

While he has been to LSU multiple times, and recently took in Texas A&M, Quinn explained that he is looking to see what other schools have to offer during his visits.

"I want to see what the other programs are about," said Quinn. "I've never been to another place outside of LSU and Texas A&M, so I want to see what else is out there."

Being from the state of Louisiana, Quinn explained that LSU has made it known for quite some time how much they covet him. The LSU coaching staff has been in regular contact with Quinn, but something else about LSU excites the talented receiver.

"With the hiring of Cam Cameron, it is definitely going to open up the offense and they will be in great shape because of their defense," said Quinn. "Their offense will be much improved and they will continue to recruit because everyone wants to go there."

One thing that Quinn was very certain of is the fact that he wants to give every school that has offered him a fair shot. Because of that, Quinn does not claim a top list of schools, but he does have high interest in the schools that he plans to visit throughout the spring.

"I don't have any top schools at the moment, said Quinn. "I plan to have a few more visits, but those five schools that I will be visiting are schools that I have a lot of interest in. Texas A&M is still there, but I've already visited their campus."

Aside from LSU, Quinn explained that there are numerous other schools that have been on him consistently.

"Besides LSU, I'd say that Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Clemson, and Oklahoma State are on me pretty hard and I've spoken with them most recently," said Quinn. "Everybody is sending me stuff though."

After originally planning on making a decision after his senior season, Quinn explained that a decision will come much sooner than that. A decision may even come from Quinn following his spring visits.

"I don't think it will take very long to make a decision," said Quinn. "It will be before my senior year. I might have a decision by the end of the spring, but I would lean more towards the end of the summer."
