LSU (18-11, 9-9) came up on the wrong end of an 81-67 game Saturday versus Ole Miss (23-8, 12-6) on Senior Day inside the PMAC.
The Rebels went on a 28-9 run to end the first half, never looking back or allowing the lead the lead to get lower than nine in the final 20 minutes.
Marshall Henderson rode a hot second half to finish with a game-high 22 points. Ole Miss forward Murphy Holloway added 16 points and eight rebounds.
The Rebels as a team shot 52.5% from the field.
LSU got 18 points front Andre Stringer and a double-double from Johnny O'Bryant, who had 17 points and 12 rebounds despite not practicing the last two days.
As for SEC Tournament implications, this all but guarantees the Tigers the 9-seed, a spot which would pit the Bayou Bengals against Georgia in the noon game on Thursday. Top-seeded Florida would await the winner at noon on Friday.
