Robinson hopes to hear more from LSU

Ever since Florida State commit JoJo Robinson began reexamining his other options, he's maintained LSU as his leader. Though he hasn't heard from the Tigers coaches as often as he'd like, he still ranks LSU on top.

Four-star ATH JoJo Robinson has picked up six offers in six weeks. But even with all the newfound attention, one school remains on top — and it's not the school he's committed to.

"Out of all the offers I have, the one that stands out to me most is LSU," Robinson said. "I like LSU a lot. LSU is up there on the top."

Robinson, who calls himself a "soft verbal commit" to Florida State, has mentioned LSU as his favorite suitor since he began reexamining his other options. But though he remains high on the Tigers, he said he hasn't spoken with their coaching staff as often as he'd like.

"I haven't heard from them in about two months," Robinson said. "During last season, they came down to see me at school. But I haven't heard from them in a while. I'd like to hear from them more often."

As for Florida State, Robinson still says he's committed to the Seminoles, but he's open to other programs. Since the Florida State coaching staff has undergone a major overhaul in the offseason, with both of his lead recruiters having left the program, Robinson said he gets a different feel than he used to.

"I'm a very soft verbal," Robinson said. "The coaching changes have made things crazy. I'm still committed but I'm a soft verbal. I've opened my options up way more now…It just seems different to me. I had to adjust to it. It's a whole new different atmosphere with the new coaching staff, and it's just different now to me."

If Robinson's recruitment continues at its current pace, he should have plenty of options to consider. West Virginia, USC, Louisville, South Florida, Tennessee and Rutgers have all offered him within the last two months.

"It's been good with all the attention," Robinson said. "A lot of schools have been reaching out to me, offering me. A lot of those schools are taking interest in me. It's been a nice experience."

Of that group, he mentioned three schools that are standing out a bit more than the rest.

"I like West Virginia," Robinson said. "They have some new coaches that I'd known previously. With USC, they're a big passing school, and I want to be a receiver in college…Louisville is an up and coming program. They did very well last year. They beat Florida, and I was real impressed. They have a lot of my former teammates. A lot of people from Miami Northwestern, and the Miami area are up there, so it's going to be like home all over again."

Robinson added that he still hopes to add offers from Florida and Georgia. He said he plans to visit LSU, Florida State and Georgia this summer, and Louisville this spring.
