Four Tigers taken on Day 2 of NFL Draft

A day after a pair of Tigers were taken in the opening round of the 2013 NFL Draft, four more former LSU standouts were drafted in the second and third rounds.

After Barkevious Mingo and Eric Reid were drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, four more former LSU standouts heard their names called in Day 2.

That brings the total to six, which marks the most LSU Tigers taken in the first three rounds in program history. It also marked the most players drafted from one school at this point in this year's draft.

LSU coach Les Miles has also produced at least five NFL draft picks in every season he's been with the Tigers.

ILB Kevin Minter was the only LSU player to be taken in the second round, going 45th overall to the Arizona Cardinals.

DT Bennie Logan heard his name called early in the third round, as he went 67th overall to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Two picks later, DB Tyrann Mathieu was selected by the Cardinals, joining forces with Minter, and former teammate/mentor Patrick Peterson. According to reports, Mathieu will play FS for Arizona.

DE Sam Montgomery capped off the day for LSU, as he went late in the third round, the 95th overall selection to the Houston Texans.
